In Ashram - Temple and Yajna Mandap we strictly adhere to vedic guidelines in order to maintain the purity and power of the above.
We list these guidelines so that you may help maintain the purity of Maha Shakti Dham. Please remain silent as soon as you enter the
temple/yagna mandap. As you enter the temple, touch the raised threshold with your right hand, put palms together for Namashkaram, and
then step into the temple with your right foot.
No Touching
- Please do not enter the inner sanctrum or other shrines. Only Gurudev & Guru Mata are allowed entering these.
- Please do not touch the deities or the shrines with hands or feet.
- Please do not lean into the shrines.
- Do not point the bottom of your feet towards any of the deities. This is considered inauspicious and impolite.
- Men and women to avoid showing affection and often sit separately.
- Do not touch to Guruji & Guru Mata. Only say “Jai Shree Krishna” or “Jai Mata Ki”.
Pradakshina Procedures
- Pradakshina is not to be done while a puja is being performed.
- Perform pradakshina around the Temple & Yajna Mandap clock-wise, if possible, 1, 4, 21 or 108 times.
Ceremony Discipline
- Please maintain silence during pujas and other ceremonies.
- Children are most welcome, though please take them out if they become loud or distracting.
- To apply kumkum (sacred red powder), gently touch your right ring finger to the powder and then to your forehead in the center just above the eyebrows.
- Please receive prasadam (blessed food or fruit) with your right hand. Please wait to enjoy the prasadam until you are outside the temple.
- Please refrain from gossip or worldly talk.
Donations
- Donations to the temple can be placed in the Daan Petti(donation box).
Prasadam and Offerings
- Anything such as fruits, nuts, sweets, flowers, non-veg. items are not allowed in Ashram premises.
How to Dress
- Bathe and put on clean clothes.
- Conservative, light-colored clothing is appropriate. Blue, Black and Brown colored dress are not allowed.
- Women are asked to wear loose clothing that covers their legs, shows no cleavage and has sleeves.
- Wearing shorts (for anyone over 12 years of age) is not advised.
- Please remove shoes before entering Ashram premises or keep them in shoe rack at Ashram Gate.
- Leather items, in any form, are not allowed inside the temple.
No Electronic items or Pictures
- No video or photography inside the temple.
- Please turn off cell phones and electronic device before entering the temple.
Food and Drinks
- Except prasadam, food and drinks are not allowed in the temple.
- Alcohol and smoking are not allowed anywhere in the temple complex and surrounding areas.
- If your child is eating or carrying a food item, please make sure you stay outside the temple.
Cleanliness
- Please help us maintain the cleanliness and purity of the temple.
- We invite you to participate in the preparation for ceremonies.

Guideline for Women
- Women, during their cycle (menstruation), are not allowed to enter the temple & Yajna Mandap or Baithak to meet Guruji.
